Tri-orb-o-thon
I realize this picture is somewhere between cute and frightening. You can imagine the raucous laughter. Please know that it was taken close to midnight after a full day of activity. The activity culminated on a 9:30 pm feasting at a local Mexican restaurant. We were not quite sure what would happen to us after eating Mexican that late, but we were willing to risk whatever the consequences might be. Our sweet friend Jen was gracious enough to take this picture and put up with the preggos. Bless her.

back to reality

Praise God. There you have it. Only that, and nothing else...
I just have a minute before I collapse in utter exhaustion. God pulled through, of course, and I do believe He showed up for STAND. If one life was touched, then it was all worth it. I must admit, this particular event was a mighty challenge. Before, during and after I have been bombarded with feelings of inadequacy and insecurity. Go figure. It has been a pride swallowing endeavor for me to speak at all. The reality that I am just learning, so inexperienced, and making mistakes continually is exceedingly painful to me. Me, myself, and my insecurity and pride. He is the only ground I left standing on.
If God spoke to you at our event, please let us know. It is so very easy to feel discouraged and feel like no one got anything out of it. We wanted everyone to get God, so if you did, let me know. I will give Him ALL the praise!
Saturday, immediately after STAND, I drove to Richmond for Sarah's shower. The tri-fecta of preggo-ness (Sarah, Annie and I ALL in our third tri-mester) was too much to handle. We took some freak-show belly shots that I will share if I can get them. I told Sarah she was everything I dreamed she would be and more. Her belly was soo adorable! There is more to tell, so when I get pics I will relay the kindred spirit re-union.
Alright. Time is up. More to follow!

i still drink
Grace accidentally knocked a mug of java over and into the keyboard of my macbook. PAINFUL. She is still alive, and was not injured. We have been giving praise to the the Lord for USAA and our homeowners insurance. The claim is still processing, but we are hoping to be able to replace it asap. It has been so lovely to be unplugged all week. I haven't missed the computer that much, honestly. I'm glad to know I do not have a stronghold to demolish. I recently read an article on blog/internet addiction. It is now classified as a legitmate addiction. Not surprised.
How ridiculous is this. I went off to college sans computer. I don't remember it being that strange. Not everyone had a personal computer then, right? I would trek it to the Miami U computer labs to write papers. By my second year I scored a behemoth desktop pc thanks to the conclusion of Gary Bauer for President 2000. Mom managed to finagle it for me. My sister actually graduated from Miami without ever having a computer the same year. Crazy.
So, yes, I still drink coffee near electronics. I'll continue to take my chances.
The snail's name is Toni/Tony. When we asked Grace what the snails name was she said Toni. Hysterical. Liz informs me that snails are hermaphrodites and so the name is fitting. What kind of person knows that?? Toni continues to provide our easily amused family with much entertainment. Clearly, now it's clear why I haven't missed my mac all that much.

P.S. PLEASE PRAY FOR THE WOMEN'S EVENT!!! I WILL BE PREPARING CONTINUALLY!!!

nobody wants to bless a brat
I've been in a bad mood all day. Mark tried to wake me this morning and was greeted with leave me alone groanings. Grace and I took a shower and it irritated me that she got soap in her eyes. My skin is doing crazy things because of pregnancy issues and so I was not pleased with my mineral makeup application. On and on and on we could go...the whole stinking day was a litany of complaints. What a BRAT I've been today! Tomorrow is a new day and I can bet I'm going to require some new mercy. Help me.
